drummer boy dog park in brewster
Debate continues on the use of drummer boy park in brewster as a public dog park. many residents support keeping drummer boy as a multi-use park where dogs are allowed. local dog owners had raised $25,000 as of July 2011 to pay to fence in a section of the park, but were met with resistance by others who feared potential health concerns and aggressive dogs. an alternative location was proposed for a 2-acre fenced in dog park facility behind the brewster police station that would cost $25,000 to $40,000, but most local pet owners remain hopeful for the dog park to be allowed in drummer boy park.
mashpee dog park
More good news: a new dog park in mashpee is planned to undergo construction in the fall of 2010. A 2-3 acre dog park with an off leash and on-leash area, water element, and agility training stations are part of the proposed Mashpee dog park. we haven't heard too much chatter lately about making an off-leash dog park at thompson's field in harwich. discussions have been going on for years, but the unfortunate mauling of a small dog by an unleashed husky hybrid in 2008 has raised some questions that seem to be put on hold for now. we'll let you know when we find out more info about the potential harwich dog park at thompson's field. | visit harwichdogpark.com for more info
