drummer boy dog park in brewster

Debate continues on the use of drummer boy park in brewster as a public dog park. many residents support keeping drummer boy as a multi-use park where dogs are allowed. local dog owners had raised $25,000 as of July 2011 to pay to fence in a section of the park, but were met with resistance by others who feared potential health concerns and aggressive dogs. an alternative location was proposed for a 2-acre fenced in dog park facility behind the brewster police station that would cost $25,000 to $40,000, but most local pet owners remain hopeful for the dog park to be allowed in drummer boy park.
