Nauset beach's off road vehicle trails are already closed in 2011 due to piping plover nests. so don't bother getting an orv sticker if you're only here for the summer folks, it'll likely be closed all season. when not closed for piping plovers, nauset beach's off-road vehicle trails allow dogs with these regulations: dogs Must be on a leash up to 30 feet, unless below high tide mark | dogs Not allowed on areas closed to human or vehicle traffic due to nesting piping plovers | orv trails typically closed from the end of may through early-mid august due to piping plover menace
